When it is raining outside, the thing you are most reluctant to do is to go somewhere. Moreover, if you drag yourself to some distant place and do not like something happening there, you feel completely down and lousy. But, on the contrary, sometimes it happens that you remember the foul weather only when you need to leave and head home. On October 19 just such an event occurred at 15/1 Bolshaya Akademicheskaya St. where Masha Sharoyeva's Designer Clothing Boutique was formally launched. The interview and photos of Masha's Fall-Winter 2004/2005 collection were published on this site in March this year. Actually, it was this fall-winter collection that was demonstrated at the boutique launching. As Masha Sharoyeva said, "Launching the boutique is a very significant event." Now she has got a place to invite her clients, business partners, friends to and that is quite important for a designer. Here Masha has an opportunity to realize her creative abilities directly, without any intermediaries.

But back to the event itself which took place on the premises of the WestSide beauty corporation. It may be strange, but the garments not very impressive on hangers look stunning when worn by living people. All these transformations happening to the clothes right before everybody's eyes were demonstrated by the models from the Slava Zaitsev's Agency who were finding it difficult to squeeze through the large number of guests.

Launching the boutique coincided in time with the start of the "fashion marathon race" in Moscow. In my opinion, it became quite a worthy lead up to the Russian Fashion Week commencing in just a few days. As for the Masha Sharoyeva's show at the spring-summer 2005 RFW the designer declined to reveal all her secrets. The only thing she said was that it would be "a real spring with the Sun shining but the cold still in the air and the snow not quite melting yet, and also, of course, a real summer when it is so hot outside that asphalt pavements melt."
